If you had 3k to play with on your cougar, what would you do?

Why is that? Buckshot Motor is selling the SB for $1700.

Think about what else you may need to do the swap.

Labor? Will you do it your self? (judging as you want a prepped block, I am guessing you don't want to do the labor)
Gaskets, fluids, larger fuel injectors, tuning.

Bolt ons? It seems pointless to me to do a 3L swap, if you are still running a stock airbox, and stock exhaust.
Defeats the purpose of the 3L.

Take my word, you need way more than 3K to do the swap.

Definetly need lots of money for beer and bandaids......I think I could pull off a swap with 3 g's.......would take some time to prep but definetly possible.

Aww hell, I'll let ya know about this time next year how much it cost. Plus a nice little custom fan which spins really fast ;)

i would have to go with THEE LARGEST shots of NO2 that is humanly possible, and watch the cylinders go flying over the windshield. then i would spend the remaining money to put a new engine in.

Depends- What have you done to the car already? Plenty of bolt-ons and suspension mods can be had for 3Gs... Intake, Headers, Exhaust, springs & struts, braces, etc... All would help performance.

3 thousand dollars huh?
I would get the VCN 2000 kit
I already have all the bolt-ons that I need
so I'd get that Venom No2 kit and
a Clutch Masters lightened flywheel
and a stage two or one clutch maybe vitek's
Whatever money was left over I'd take my wife out
and celebrate the Cougar running 13's
ahhh dreams.
must not max out credit card.........

If you can do the work yourself, you can do a lot for 3g's.

Motor swap, clutch and flywheel replacement, a few minor suspension parts, and bam.
