Welcome, I just use motorcraft plugs and wires like Andy mentioned above. Never had any issues with those.
If you need any OEM parts for your cougar I have plenty of extra parts. I have a 2001 Cougar ATX 2.5L parts car. Just message me and I can try to get what you need. Thanks
