The 99's were ... all over the map.
Usually, the sport package cars had larger rotors. So if you have rear disc brakes, you have larger front rotors. But early 99's sometimes didn't follow that rule, and many drum-equipped cars had larger front rotors too. But it's a safe bet that if you have 4-wheel discs, your fronts are the larger versions. Measure them, man.

Yeah, i have a 99 cougar aka build date 7/98 and it was a convenience model with the 4 wheel disc brakes,atx,etc. The fronts were 278mm(the larger ones) but a friend of mine with a 99 aka build date 5/99 and she has 260mm front's but 4 wheel disc. Take the wheel off and measure or make sure you can return them if they are the wrong size...Its screwy
