Rear brake rotor sizes

I recently ordered some front brake rotors and received the wrong ones. They sent me the 10.2" instead of the 10.9". I reordered the 10.9" and I'm planning on returning the smaller set. Is it possible to use the 10.2" instead of the stock 10" rotors on the rear?

Thanks!

Re: Rear brake rotor sizes

Measure the clearance between your stock rear rotor and the brake carrier. 10.2" diameter is 5.1" radius 0.1 inches is 2.5mm. If it is too close or there is slight contact, you could alway grind or file a little out...damn, i ground some out recently and they're fine...G.

Re: Rear brake rotor sizes

I'd work with the mm sizing and remove some of the confusion. 200mm is the only rear rotor size.

Re: Rear brake rotor sizes

They're bigger than 200mm. I want to say they are 258mm or 253mm, but I can't verify that right now.

Re: Rear brake rotor sizes

well the non-svt or non-sport package cougar front rotors are 260 mm so the rear disks would be smaller then that.

if this is the case...maybe you could put 276/300mm on the front and get a set of sport/SVT rear calipers and put the front vented 260mm on the back. Stock parts, uprated performance, cheap spares..can't really ask for more...G.

that is called the NPG big brake kit, but you have to have the 278mm front rotors already to use it. you get the 300mm/278mm front/rear for rotors.
