How low can she go
I am getting a set of 18's Velox rims next week. My question is I am also wanting to lower the cougar down a bit not much but where my upcoming body kit looks right. What height would you suggest? I am thinking some HR springs are in order just need to know my limits with those rims so they don't rub.

Re: How low can she go
I have eiback pro springs with about 1 1/2" drop with 18" wheels and have no rubbing. BUT do have my kit often hit the ground when pulling into driveways, so would worry more about the kit than the tires rubbing.

Re: How low can she go
I have 18's and BG springs (1.75" drop) and they dont rub where you think they would. They only rub a little on a full lock turn. I even had 7 people in my cougar the other week and the back didnt rub.

Re: How low can she go
BGs w/ kybs and a Roush Kit w/ 18" konige absolutes with 225/40/18 tires
BG claims anywhere from 1.75"-1.8" drop depending on where you look (I think the 1.8" is just from rounding to 1.75") It tucked the rear wheels with the stock 16s on it to, and theres only a 12in kenwood in a cheap walmart sealed box in the back, cant weight more than 15lb. So I dont know ![]() Look at my Sig, About everyone who ever sees my car says "Sh*t That's Low" or some variation of that. Last year at the Ford Nationals Vyk Measured 3.5" groudn clearance on my side skirt. 2 years ago BGs, 16" stockies and no kit Last year with the stock 16s, BGs and Roush on it Still with the stock 16's, BGs, and Roush With the BGs, roush and 18s

Re: How low can she go
have you ever replaced your rear strut mounts? you definitely have over a 2 inch drop.
