Sorry, but wrong.

From the FAQ.
I'm looking to get larger rims, What size tires will I need to buy? - This is known as plus sizing.
For 17 inch wheels it is normally recommended for 225/45 17 inch tires or the factory 215/50 17 inch (based off of tirerack.com)
For 18 inch wheels it is normally recommended for 225/40 18 inch tires or 215/40 18 inch tires
For 19 inch wheels it is normally recommended for 225/35 19 inch tires

Unless you go adjustable coilovers or bags you are forever going to be fighting a losing battle with wheel gap and those tires.

215/40/17 is damn close to the stock 16 size, problem is it is a very odd tire size. 225/40/17 is almost the same size as a stock 205/50/16. There are plenty of people that have lowered on stock 16's and had decent results with wheel gap. I would rather go with a little taller sidewall so ride quality is not effected. Focus rims do look Bling though, you should do a big brake upgrade to fill in the gap between the rotor and rim though. There is a lot of gap there.

Re: I got my svt rims today

I'm going 215/45/17, that little extra sidewall will be a big help in ride quality and saving my rims from holes in the road. I think this size is almost exactly the same as stock 15's

^

My only question is why would you want to go with a stock rim with all the different options on the market?

Ok I shouldn't say they are wrong, because they obviously work. Its just not generally the recommended or preferred tire size. A 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 are the most popular. See if you came from a stock 16" wheel with stock tires 215/50/16, when you go up one wheels size you generally only go down one tire size. The tire size you went with is actually two sizes down. This means an even shorter side wall, which results in a rougher ride and even larger wheel gap.
