unfortuantely i got in an accident yesterday afternoon on my way home from school. i had just made it through a light and was turning on to a main road when a car in front of me slowed down i wasnt going very fast and slowed down then he stepped on the gas real hard and sped up so i followed.. he then slammed on his brakes and i had to too i managed to stop in time. A big dodge ram from the intersection i went through i guess didnt noticed we were stopped and at 50 mph slammed into the back of me. launchin me forward into the steering wheel and making me crash into the car infront of me who then crashed into the car infront of him! all four cars were damaged but mine of course the worst. we all managed to drive our cars into a nearby 7eleven where they called an ambulance to take me to the hospital. obviously i am ok bc i am sitting here typing this. except for a couple of major bruises on my head arm and leg and the constant shooting pain in my neck n back heh im ok. hopefully everything will work out the guy in the big truck will most likely get his license taken away and i might get a new cougar! just i feel bad about my *****. in the ambulance i was crying about my car and they kept saying "cars can be replaced be happy ur alive" im fine ..poor cat! the rear end is all smashed in and the sides buckled, the tire and cd changer in the back are almost standing verticle, the gas door and filler petrued out about six inches, the drivers door hardly opens, the headlights and smashed and sticking out, so is the hood the cougar head and bar under the hood was pushed way back and bent up and parts under the car are about to fall off! jus felt like sharing my story... heres some pics im going back to bed!

That sucks. I can fully empathize, since I got hit from behind twice within 6 months. The first one was a tap, but the second time I got absolutely PLOWED by a Blazer. It sucks when you get hurt and aren't at fault.

Yea, good thing you're okay. I was in a similar accident a couple months ago. Same type of deal. I was goin home through town, I was pulling to the side of the road (blinker on) and I got hit by a dodge ram. The guy was drunk and he was pleading with me not to make a police report. Luckily for him my parents were in the car and knew him. Luck b$st#rd!

Anyways I had whiplash for a week, I couldn't get out of bed normally, I had to tilt to my side and roll out of bed. It sucked badly. But, not as bad as your experience. My hatch, and bumper cover were replaced, and the frame had to be pulled out. I think he was goin' like 40mph and I was completely stopped.

Good to see your ok. One thing we've noticed is that our cars can take a good pounding in an accident. We've had members get hit by garbage trucks ripping the rear off, spin out on the highway slamming into the retaining walls & a couple members somehow managing to roll their car. All of them walked away with minor cuts & bruises thankfully.

It didn't sound like you had your seatbelt on, did you? Also, why didn't your airbags deploy when you hit the car in front of you?

I noticed that both your headlights & taillights didn't shatter, that's pretty weird...

actually i had my seatbelt on but it didnt hold me back until after i hit my head. my headlights actually did break and the tail lights got pushed inside the trunk.

edit: also thats crazy about a garbage truck hitting a coug and the ppl were alright! also i duno why my airbags did deflate neither did the trucks that hit me. i think it was in the way he hit me. all i know is after the crash my front was under the car infront of me!

Holy Jebus! That totally sucks! I'm glad your still with us.

You know the same thing happend to me. Except I got rear ended by another Cougar at CougarBash 2k3. I then slid into another cougar, who hit another cougar. 4 cougars got beamed all in all. I suffered the worst of the damage but I was lucky and not hurt, nor was the damage nearly as bad. My hood and headlights looked just like your do now, but my rear bumper was fine.


If your car is totalled then perhaps I could help you get a new cougar, as my Uncle is a dealer and can get them with 35k miles off 3 year leases.

Otherwise we could help ya get your car repaired and get you a shiny new body kit while where at it, for cheaper than fixing it back to stock.

that really sucks, it was just beginning to get modded too.. Sue them for everything theyve got. You have neck and back pains which may remain for the rest of your life.
