    CSVT #0157 (wadespencers old car)

Hey guys, i'm the new owner of wadespender's old Contour SVT. I picked it up last saturday as a replacement of my Mercury Mystique that got flooded up here in PA. Figured i'd post some pics and list some thing that i have done, and things that i am going to do with the car now that i have it.

Now, this car is my DD, and will be abused on a daily basis I cant get over the power the 3L Hybrid makes compared to my modded Zetec in my Mystique.

List of things to do now...
Alternator (done lastnight in 51 minutes. Timed by my wife ) DONE
Balance all 4 tires (shakes pretty bad at 65+mph) DONE
Replace rear calipers and steel brake lines (parking brake doesnt work and steel lines are looking pretty bad)
Fix the fitment of the plastic trim pieces around the head unit
Paint the calipers red. FRONT ARE DONE
Replace a/c compressor (brought to me today. Thanks Wade!)
    HID's (from my Mystique. 4500K)

    Future things...
    MSDS headers and Y-pipe
    Nautalus CAI
Lowering springs (not too much lower though)
    HID fogs (3000K)
Rear subframe from my Mystique (Much less rust)
Get it on the dyno tuned

Enough taking/typing. Here are some pics. I'll have many more tomorrow.

The night i brought it home.

    Lastnight at the shop.

Some before and after pics of some bad scuffs...

    dash fitment issue

all cleaned up. Pulled into the car wash because it started to rain.

    Awesome Mark!

I'm so glad to see this car go to someone that can make it better. I just didn't have the time to put into it, but I always thought it could be made into a really nice SVT, and I don't regret saving it from the scrapyard.

Thanks again Wade. I'm so glad i was able to get this car. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so when i do repairs/mods i pay very close attention to detail (for the most part). I also get very attached to my cars. I have alway been the last owner of every one of my cars. (89 Tempo, blew motor and was forced to get rid of it while living at home in H.S., 95 Mercury got flooded, 88 Tempo project, well, the year 2011 happened and things went down hill quick) So, as long as the car doesnt get flooded or wrecked, i'll have this car for a long, long time!

I didnt get much of anything done today. Felt lazy all day. I did try to put my Mystiques HIDs in the car, but from the flood, the ballasts were filled with water, and they didnt want to work right. I ordered new 4500K low beams and 3000K fogs from DDM tuning. Should have them within the next week or so. Anyways, i did take some more pics, so until i get more done to the car, here ya go.

And here is a better video. This thing is such a beast for being a "stock" 3L hybrid. Cant wait to see what it puts down.

Re: CSVT #0157 (wadespencers old car)

as for the scrapes and scratches, i used polishing compoud with a 3M buffer pad from a head light restoration kit with an air drill. Usually works pretty well.

Here are some pics with the new DDM tuning HID kits. 4500K low beams and 3000K fogs.

On the way home, the car got stuck in second gear. I was able to limp it to my work. I looked at it real quick and it looks like the linkage might have popped off, but i'll get a closer look at it tomorrow morning.

35 bucks plus shipping from DDM. Cant beat the price or quality from them.
