Re: UPDATED 7/19 Took some (more) pictures today
Nice! The stripes on the rear bumper work perfectly. And the sidemarkers were a good choice. And I've never been able to stomach a pinstripe on these body styles, so good work there.
Here's a suggestion: the red lights stand out THE MOST on a white car, and it works for people like Wade; but your vinyl kind of puts you in a different position regarding that. I think now the stripes are making the back of the car a little busy. I think some white Vtech tail light covers would really clean that all up and bring it all together perfectly. Good work on the vinyl, though; I'm impressed.

Re: UPDATED 7/19 Took some (more) pictures today
Thanks, man, a little secret though...the stripes on the bumper are not vinyl...they're Krylon Fusion paint. I tried to get the vinyl to work on the bumper but I couldn't get it to stretch and come out straight. The matte black paint is nearly an exact match in color to the vinyl and it looks great, IMO.
As for the tails, I was thinking of blacking them. Maybe I'll put up a photoshop request to see which would look better, black or white.

It's amazing how such a small thing like sidemarkers can make such a big difference.
As far as the tail lights go...I agree with B3NN3TT, painted tail light covers would look great. I personally would not do shaded tails as they would just make the back of the car even "busier."

Re: UPDATED 7/19 Took some (more) pictures today
something i noticed with the covers is that they look like they obscure the outermost light. is that just my eyes tricking me or do they, in fact, block one of the lights?

Nice I love how you improved it from the first post to this. Those changes gave alot of class. I'm not sure what you mean by blocking the light though sorry

There is a third marker light under the cover, yes. Some people have cut out a hole for it, but it's a pretty useless light. 95% of those with Vtechs just deal with it. Looks better that way.

Re: UPDATED 7/19 Took some (more) pictures today
You are going in the right direction, I do like the way the stripes look from the back, I think if they continue down the front bumper they will look better as well. I am with B3NN3TT on stripes. I have never been crazy about them on these cars, but it is slowly working with your car. I think you may be on to something if you keep going the right way. I look forward to seeing the progression!!

Re: UPDATED 7/19 Took some (more) pictures today
i looked at the possibility of putting them down the front but in the end i decided not to do it. i may change my mind at some point but for now i think i like it as is. wheels and lowered and something with the tails and I'm done outside. then leather inside new headliner (black) and paint the a, b, &c pillars black, gut precats and cai. then no more money except for maintenance.
