Re: 7 People in a cougar For Those Who Thought It Impossible

We also fit 7 in a Sebring convertable one day when I was visting some friends at WVU. 4 in back seat, 2 in the pasenger, and a driver. The one girl was sitting on the lap of the pasenger and she was so high up that windshield only came up to her chest. She had a blast going down the road with nothing in front of her.

Also as I have said before in another thread, I fit 10 in a 88 t-bird when I wsa in high school. 1 driver, 2 passenger, 5 back seat, 2 and backpacks in the trunk. When i got out to let the guys out of the trunk I noticed that rear bumper was only about 1" from the ground and the rear wheels were tucked pretty dam far. The car was stock.

The word is embiggen.

And for more feats of daring.

Back in HS, I fit 7 people in a Plymouth Horizon.

Re: 7 People in a cougar For Those Who Thought It Impossible

Ahhh. This brings back memories.

I had 7 people in a 87 corrolla in japan. me, 2 in pass seat 3 in back and of course 1 in trunk. It was about 98 degrees out and drove about 45 minutes to get to club.

We pop the trunk and the guy jumps out in his heart covered boxers and socks.

I got pulled over on way home for having too many people in the car. We piled out of the car all drunk and stumbling and got off on a warning. Luckily cops didn't look in the trunk.

Thumbs down Re: 7 People in a cougar For Those Who Thought It Impossible

I really don't see why you seem to be proud of how many people you can squeeze into you car. were you on your way to a clown event? are you actually driving somewhere, or just cramming people into the car to see if you can?
around here in the last year, there have been 3 different wrecks with 7-9 kids crammed into a car intended for 4, with every one of them killed. not to say filling every square inch of space with a person is the underlaying cause, but it totally would not be safe driving conditions with people taking up all the visibility to see what's going on around you on the road, not to mention the distraction & antics of having that many shoved in a car that comfortably holds 2 1/2 people!

Definitely not safe, but at least it wasn't far.

do we need to make this a cougarfest competition... cause right now, I think my car will fit the most.

Thats becasue you have no interior, that is so not fair. And of course you will find all the smallest members to squeze in there.

Although I wont be at fest becasue I will be in the Bahamas with my family, I think the "how many people can you fit in a cougar" would be a fun challenge to have at fest. You wouldnt actually drive the car for saftey reasons, but the car should be deemed drivable into order to win. You can give the wining team a prize like some t-shirts or a round of shots or somthin.
