Good day for modding

It happens once every 3 months over here across the pond - the sun comes out on my day off! And I have an empty driveway!

Finally get a chance to finish all those jobs that have been bugging me for months on end, including why the hell my blowers are getting really pathetic.

I have found the reason why... looks like I have neglected the pollen filter

Anyone getting loads done on their cougars in America today?

Rod.

Re: Good day for modding

It is really easy to do.. once you know how! You just need a Torx screwdriver, a cross head screwdriver and about 15 minutes.

I found out the hard way that you do not have to take the wipers off to get to the filter either. Just a little tip for you guys to save loads of time.

I've taken the spoiler off today, as it needs a refurb - the cougar-s kit without a spoiler is not pretty

The car needs a clean too!

Re: Good day for modding

Yeah, I've had my cabin air filter that dirty before. I changed it shortly after I bought the car (had about 80,000 mi. on it) and it had apparently, never been changed. I know of a few others on here that have changed theirs for the first time and have found some pretty funny things in there. Like a dead bird/mouse/sockets/screwdrivers etc. Hahaha. I put an activated carbon cabin air filter in mine to reduce nasty smells from entering the car when i am using heat or a/c.

I like your cougar a lot. Only thing I can suggest is to move the tips up a little so they can blow exhaust straight out the wire mesh or something. But they aren't too bad, just a little low.

Re: Good day for modding

I've had that exhaust tip idea for about a year and a half now - never got round to doing it!

This is probably going to be my last few months with my car bless her, due to house/growing up etc.

I'll never get to do everything to it that I wanted to, which is sad. But hey, one day I'll be rich enough to buy and Aston Martin! :

I'm washing it now, always a bad idea because I fall in love with it all over again just after a polish!!
