Picked it up Yesterday

the svt contour i bought needs a new slave cylinder and the clutch pedal inside the car as no pressure when i push on, it seems to be floopy and thats the slave cylinder, so you can prolly rule out the slave cylinder if you can actully push the clutch pedal

Ding ding ding... Exactly what I wad getting at. Pull thje intake and battery then disconnect the shift cables remove about 8 bolts and pull teh shift tower. Sounds like ehter the bolt in the trans or the bolt in the tower are busted. The one in the trans could be tough to find but you can usually find it with magnets that you searcha round in teh case with. If it is the botlt oustide of the case it will be a "pin" according to ford and is a tought one to find. Bill Jenkins told me I got the last one in his system in the country. You could replace it with a regular bolt but you reverse lights won't work then so that is a problem. Let me know if you need more infor or help but this really sounds like what the problem is to me.

and just get a focus shift tower ... i totally forgot about the shirt tower...i am used to people already doing that swap
