There's no turning back now. Started prepping the paint!

For those of you looking to repaint their car this is the stuff you do to help the shop and save you some cash. Took me a couple hours to pull all the trim, lights & misc, plus another hour an a half to scuff the paint. This over the course of a few weekends on & off.

Next we'll be aligning the hood and he'll pull dents & prime the car once it's masked.

i still see shiny spots.

i must have had to do this to at least 20 cars when i did my internship. i still have blister marks from the scuff pads.

We call those windows. Plus I'm replacing the hood so why bother.

Yea, there's still a couple highlights I noticed in the photos, but I think that was just from me tweaking them out of the camera. I walked around the car a few times and checked for holidays and it looked good. This being my first time and all.

yeah thats what i figured. where is the thread with the plans for the new paint job? are you going with that blue with black stripes i have seen you post a few times? also what hood?

can't wait to see the finished results.

Same LSB plus a matte black design. What you saw is one of some versions I'm playing with, so it may be different in the end.

Hood is a fiberglass Kaminari hood, you can see it on top of the tires in one pic.

def'n still a bit to shiney..imho. another good tip would be to take some red scotch pads and scuff up the wheel area on the fenders and bumpers..it'll give the paint something good to grip,it'll help against chipping better than just scuffing it w/sand paper
