Re: It's serious now...

Not as far a long as I want to be, but at least the body will be perfectly straight now. Feels nice & smooth, no more dings.

Oh, and those 2 bolts in the front bumper by the fenders are a PITA.

Re: It's serious now...

It's coming along very nicely, goods great!

Yeah those two bolts are biotches..
With the wheel off, I found it easier just to remove most of the bolts holding the dust shields and fold them behind the rotor.
It gives you plenty of room to get them off.

True Borla duals FTW!!

Re: It's serious now...

Honestly, On every front bumper I have replaced for people and took apart (I think 6 in total) I have immediately busted those bolts intentionally. All I did was remove the wheel well, put the deep socket on, angled, and SNAP. Once I get the plates out, I file off the remaining studs, drill them out, and replace them with stainless nuts and bolts. Made life a hell of alot easier the second time I took my bumper off, no rusted threads!

Progress pics look great...did you get rid of the stone guard on the bottom of the doors to since it's now gone from the rear quarter?

EDIT: BTW...why don't you get the FSTB painted body color while they are painting the car?

Re: It's serious now...

- Chip guard is probably going to be sanded off. The line you see is right above it.
- Never thought about filling in those pieces. To me it would cause a weird break in the lines.
- Almost true Borlas. Trubendz piping with Borla resonated tips & muffler in place of the original setup. Still all SS tho.
- OMP bar is going to be sprayed in the matte black. Engine needs to be really cleaned and repainted itself before that really takes off. Lots of chipping going on in there.

Re: It's serious now...

I agree with you on the triangle pieces...since I don't have them on mine I can say with all honesty it makes the front end look bulky.

EDIT: Notice how weird the front fender looks here....looks higher than normal when I can truthfully say it's 100% the same height as stock..

Re: It's serious now...

Quick wash before buttoning up the bumpers & some trim. Paint looks very nice minus a couple fisheyes he's going to wetsand out. The black goes on this week and I pick it up Saturday.

Then the hard part of looking at it sit in the garage on jacks while the wheels get refinished starts.
