Re: TCE Big brake kit install

There are kits for the rear, but you would loss your e-brake. Best option was Warmongers adaptors that allowed you to use the larger stock front rotor in the rear. In reality you don't really need to upgrade the rear unless you road race the car because the fronts provide more then enough bite. I miss my BBK.

Re: TCE Big brake kit install

plus the front does the majority of the braking so having a larger rear kit isnt really necessary.

Re: TCE Big brake kit install

those look like 278mm on the rear...and 300mm or larger....not sure if those are 12 or 13in kit on the fronts

it looks like the new updated willwood calipers. nadthomas had the older style willwood calipers...or i could be totally wrong

Re: TCE Big brake kit install

I have the Warmonger rear kit, but I haven't installed it yet. I'll do it along with new struts and my Roush rsb here in the spring. Still undecided what to do on the front.

The kit is the 13.0" x .81 Street Sport kit with FSL calipers and the rear is the kit you can buy from the website.

Last i checked, Todd had an extra set of rear already done so if you are ready for an upgrade, give him a call. (and if you ask nicely he might give you a discount.)

Thanks for all the comments guys! I cant wait for this car to be completely done so you guys can enjoy it.

keep the comments or questions coming.

As far as the install goes, i never changed brakes in my life but with a bit of help from how tos, we did the job in one day.

The larger rear rotors help even out the brake biasing similar to what it is stock.

I have the warmonger kit front and rear on the Contour.
