thank you.
These are called 'drag tips' and they are neither drilled or made on request, but stock parts. The exhaust itself just comes of the original Cougar pipe, and was custom welded into a V-shape to create the twin exhausts you see. Best bet is find a custom exhaust company who can do the tips and welding in one job. The tips are also on eBay apparently sometimes.

Already answer the Q about the grille surrounds, but they are part of the bumpers and made from fibreglass painted aluminium.

Not true to the concept with the spoiler and bonnet (or hood as you call it!) but still the same kit!

Only just seen this post, how late am I!?

I've said it on the UK forum, but i just want to say it again, I love your concept replica, its is incredibly smart. You are lucky getting it finished before Twisted Vision collapsed as well!!!

Rod.

Cougar S mode? explain that one please... Also, I thought the Cougar S concept back in 99 was going to use a 3.0L engine by default as well as better quality shocks, tires, brakes. I do like how the engine says Cougar S, thats nice. But you should eventually make it a 3.0 to really give that cougar S a reason to be called it

Re: My 'Cougar S' concept replica

The Auto gearbox has an 'S' / 'E' switch on it - I'm sure it must be the same in the USA, so 'S' mode is Sport mode, 'E' being Economy.

With it set in Sport mode, I have never felt the need to get a more powerful engine My aim with this project was to create a visual replica. I loved everything about the Cougar, including the V6 engine, and only felt a need to upgrade the look. I have never 'looked' back

Re: My 'Cougar S' concept replica

Ah, never heard of that option existing in any stock cougars. even with sport package. but then again mine is V6 regular , not sport. maybe its a European thing only. I tested audis, VWs, and bentleys here in USA (winter testing), and a lot of them had such modes to switch between and the higher end the car was the more options like paddle shifters on the wheel, but even the little turbo diesel jettas had an option to switch to tiptronic mode where you handle the shifting yourself instead of the car doing it.
