Where did you get that information? The owner of the concept vehicle states that it is a fully working concept with the 3.0L AWD integrated.

As I mentioned there are 2 cars referred to as 'Cougar S'. One is the 2.5l SVT you mention, which was nothing to do with the Cougar S concept and is often confused (obviously). It is just a car Ford nearly made, and nearly called 'Cougar S'. The other is the Cougar S concept, which was also never made! But the two are quite different, and neither was made (apart from in my driveway )

Re: My 'Cougar S' concept replica

Actual photos of the concept's engine bay.
Ford's not going to spend the money and time to engineer an AWD system for *ONE* concept car.

Re: My 'Cougar S' concept replica

Be interested to see your photos. I have some here direct from the owner. I doubt he'd lie when asking $1.3m for it.

Re: My 'Cougar S' concept replica

Um Ford did not design an AWD system for a concept, they designed it for the AWD Mondeo which the system is also in the Jag X type. No doubt in my mind that the concept had the Mondeo AWD system in it.

Never said they designed it for a concept, only that it was in the concept... allegedly

Re: My 'Cougar S' concept replica

Maybe there are more than one of those concepts in existance.. The pix I saw were just a stock 2.5L along with something that said "despite fords claims that this car has an AWD system, only its front wheels are driven" or some such.. I'll try to find the info.
