You raise an interesting point. Those trim pieces are brushed aluminium, exactly as per the concept. The reason they appear lighter is because the paint colour is darker than the concept, but had Ford released it with a choice of colours, that is how it would look

Did you notice the strip between the headlights too, as per the concept?

I am thinking about that, but budget-wise it may be one step too far! The only real difference is the concept ones are flat, but I can live with the 'boobies' It essentially looks the same depending on the angle. I've also tried to do this with all 'off the shelf' parts, but may have to draw the line at getting things custom made.

The black one belonged to a guy called "King Roderick" in the UK. Have a brief search for his username, and pics will follow.

Re: My 'Cougar S' concept replica

I've never seen such a beautiful cougar. I know it's a replica and not an origional, but why did ford give up on the S. Are there any ford guys here that could shoot these pictures over to the big wigs at ford ?? I know it's a long shot but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Anyway, beautiful work! I'm quite jealous.

Ah yes I know his car. It's not a full replica either, not that it matters that much - just making the point that I hope I've done Ford's design team's exact vision justice.

Re: My 'Cougar S' concept replica

Dude, a very sexy looking car. I can tell you have gone to great lengths for details. Yes, it's not exactly like the concept, but that's a good thing. You've done a great job and have chosen a great colour for the car. That silver is one of the best colours out there! My dad's car is quite similar in colour

But yeh, great job there man!
