| is moving his car | Re: My tricked out Cougar! he didnt need to run an inverter. everything he's running through it natively runs at 12V anyways with an AC-DC converter. So of course adding a DC-AC converter to plug them in makes sense right?

i just saw the first page and i have a ? do you have to use the seat belt to keep them from falling? and also do you have any sort of wing on the back? i think that it would look sharp on your car with the neons like that, maby even a neon UNDER the wing. also i think that you need to get an air filter cone, it adds like 10-15hp. You can also just cut your muffler off and get a sweet "universal" exhaust off of ebay, just make sure it goes from 2.5 inches to at least 4+ inches, that gives it the most "flowability" Good job and keep up with the good work! its nice to see some guys working with what they got.

| Re: My tricked out Cougar!
when i was 16 i had a massivly gettho system. I had 18 speakers and 2 amps in a 88 t-bird. They were almost all car speakers. All except the subs, The subs where floor speakers form a home stereo that sat in the trunk. I though it sounded good at the time. Then I tore it all out and got a 90-tbird and built a stereo out of cheap non-big brand car aduio (pyle, pyramid, legacy, optimus) and it sounded soo much better.. soo much better... Right now in my cougar I have 4 5x7 infinity refences ( all 4 for < $100 total off ebay) INfinity tweeters on the doors ( free from a junk car) and at the moment I have my cheap little system in the trunk a 300 watt jensen amp (walmart 5 years ago $100) cheapo walmart sealed box ($35) and a Kenwood sub ( $45 ebay) . It sounds very nice. Very good highs and just the right amoutn of bass. So for about $300 including a wiring kit i got a very nice system. I have my other big subs that I throw in for shows sittin at home. a 1200watt legacy amp, a pro-bend dual 12" bandpass, and 2 pyramid 1200 watt imperial subs ( about $500 togather) Point being you can get a decent system for not much, and it will sound better than what you have now. If you really want those speakers you have now, try to find a way to mount them in the stock location, so that it looks better and you have a rear seat again. Neons need to be mounted so that you cant see the bulb, if you cant see the bulb or wires then you did it right. SO if you say you can see them then they are fine. BUt honestly why r u covering nice leather seats?
