I saw a Cougar once on Cheaters, it was a silver 99-00 model with 15' wheels. I also remember seeing an Ash Gold Cougar once on Cops, I think that was three years ago.

Well, if you spent the ~$150,000 that I seem to recall it took to get that in GT2, I'd guess you would. By the standards of the game, I think it basically works out to a very nicely built engine with a massive turbo (and IMO, turbos in that game are nowhere near laggy enough for the large ones); pretty much every panel replaced with fiberglass/CF and windows replaced with Lexan; drag slicks; seriously nice transmission; seriously nice suspension; absolutely none of those silly things like spare tire, A/C, airbags, heater core, radio, any of the original interior...

Personally, for $150,000, I'd just buy a Ford GT.

Not exactly the Cougar, but rather the MC2, was featured in a 1997 episode of Top Gear (booked as episode 8 by the Final Gear crowd). McLaren designer Peter Stevens was brought in to comment on show cars at the London Motor Show, one of which was the MC2.

I've been downloading all the series of top gear these past few weeks. I am currently in the middle of series 6 which aired in 2005ish I believe. When was this head to head? In the first series?

I did see him race a formula 1 car and a rally car around a track on youtube awhile ago. Is that what you are talking about? I don't remember any opinions be expressed in it.

And I wish it was in GT4. Closest I think you can get is a Mazda 6 which is really not that similar.
