For info: fuel computer accuracy!
Got my 'fuel left' down to 22 miles today (before reching my Optimax destination). Filled the car, but it only took 51 litres!! To my reckoning 9 litres is 1.97 gallons. At 35 to the gallon that's almost 70 miles left in the tank!! Still it was scary there for a moment.

RE:For info: fuel computer accuracy!
I've driven past the "0" miles left counter on many an occasion, i think the furthest i've travelled on "0" was about another 13 miles before i started crapping myself and hoping i wouldn't break down

RE:For info: fuel computer accuracy!
The actual consumption figures aren't correct either... at least not on mine... So far (since I bought the vehicle) it's averaged 1.3 mpg less than what the computer reckons I'm getting... and yes I am sad and do know exactly how much I've spent on fuel and exactly how many miles I've done since I bought it.
