Re: Deleting CEL codes

When you went to check your codes, the next option on the xcal2 is to clear dtc's.

Re: Deleting CEL codes

Thanks Mich! I was kinda in a rush but figured it out. Now that the CEL went off and I"ve drivin' around for app.100km with the CEL not back on yet. Does this mean the I should just forget about the CEL ever coming on or should I fix the DPFE sensor now?

Re: Deleting CEL codes

Wait and see if it comes up again. The pcm has to finish its cycle and detect the code 3 times for the light to come on.

Re: Deleting CEL codes

My CEL came back on with the same code (p0402). I don't have the time to fix the DPFE my self, so if I go to the stealership tomorrow should I just tell them to change my DPFE, or is there anything else possibly wrong that caused this CEL code to appear?

Tell them to look at why it might be coming on. They'll tell you if it needs a sensor otherwise you may tell them to change the sensor and it could be something else like a plug, hose, etc.
Probaby it is a sensor though. lol

Re: Deleting CEL codes

If I am thinking of the right sensor it takes about 10-15 minutes to replace. Do it yourself.

Takes more time to open the car door and pop the hood. Its easy. I deff would not pay a stealership to do it.
