Xcal2

If I get 2 tunes on the xcal2, 1 for daily driving and 1 for performance, can I switch between them while driving?

Re: Xcal2

Not with an XCAL2. You have to load it on to the car's ECU with the car turned off.

Re: Xcal2

Ok so if the car is turned off, I plug the xcal2 in and can scroll through my 2 tunes. Then when I fire the beast back up the different tune is active? This is plugged in under the steering wheel correct?

Re: Xcal2

Yes

I have 3 on mine, one tune for 87 - 91 - 93. Plus you can turn it back to stock too if you want

Take about 3 min to change back and forth

Re: Xcal2

Of course, if you get a four-bank SCT chip and purchase a nifty lil doodad from Logan Motorsports you'd be able to switch on the fly.

Re: Xcal2

Thanks Mich. I was unaware that the octane reading was a valuable part of the tunes. Ryan, Changeing tunes on the fly sounds great, unfortunitly I don't think it will be necessary for me.

Re: Xcal2

Don't forget, unless you want to blow out your fuel pump, you should disconnect the fuse to the fuel pump (under the hood) before flashing the ECU with an XCal2.
