SVT tune for an ATX?

I have a lead on a low mileage full SVT motor, returnless that would be perfect for the wifes car as I am dead set on a full 3L for my car. Only problem is the car I plan on throwing it into is an ATX. So is there a way to dump an SVT tune on an ATX PCM? If not does anyone know how I could have hers tuned to mimic an SVT PCM?

Re: SVT tune for an ATX?

Take your car to a place to get dyno tuned and get a custom tune done. Also a ATX external cooler is a good idea too.

Re: SVT tune for an ATX?

Yes, there is a way to do it if you find a place with SCT software. They can take parameters from an SVT Contour file and transfer them over to your current ECU file. Then they should run the car on the dyno to make sure the changes work correctly.

Yes you can have her PCM tuned to sort of mimic the SVT PCM as long as you are using all the same hardware to include the SVT MAF that came with that car AND If you give us the year of the engine and SVT. This would apply to IMRC, EGR, timing, fuel tables, etc, but then we'd still have to preserve all the functions of the automatic transmission. So it would take a little while but not be too hard.
However, you will just get the equivalent of a stock SVT tune and if you are paying for it you may as well get a little performance out of it.

You should know that it would be smarter to buy a 3L block and make her car a hybrid 3L with your own stock intake/cams because those cams suit the ATX powered car a bit better than the SVT cams which are for an MTX powered car. The ATX isn't supposed to be rev'd up like the MTX which is where the SVT cams really make their money.
