Clutch switch rev limiter during shifts?

I was thinking if I have a clutch depress rev limit set in my program, which I already do, could I keep my foot on the gas pedal during shifts.

Theoretically it sounds good. When you push the clutch in to shift the revs are limited to a certain point. The throttle will still be open but the fuel and spark will just shut off occasionally(multiple times in < 1 sec.). So, if air is still flowing one might be able to keep the turbo spooled up during shifts.

Any issues or thoughts on this. I've never heard of anyone doing this.

Re: Clutch switch rev limiter during shifts?

Drag racers do this so they won't waste time rev the engine up again
