tuning with/or out secondaries
well found out my imrc was out and my secondaries are not opening. i have an xcal2 but no PRP. i will be getting the package at a later date. i am contemplating just removing the secondaries and tuning the car with the imrc removed. and also i thought it would be a good topic starter in here rather than 3L section.

and the truth be told! No secondaries = mucho lost HP! I bet your car will be much much MUCH stronger with secondaries

Re: tuning with/or out secondaries
GMK are you being obvious, stating that the secondaries not opening causes a loss of HP? OR are you saying, the concenses is, removing the IMRC causes a loss of HP? If so where did you here that???????? This has been covered a lot.

Re: tuning with/or out secondaries
It has only been stated that removing the secondaries will cause a loss of torque under 3k but will increase upper hp a little. There has not been any proof shown such as dyno results or anything.
It has also been said the the secondaries were put in for driveablity and gas mileage reasons.

Re: tuning with/or out secondaries
Nope don't have them at all. I still have the rods in but the butterflies are out. I kept the rods in and IMRC unit hooked up till I got my chip to keep the check engine light off and so it didn't start throwing the engine into the emergency loop or whatever it does when the IMRC is unplugged.
I have the chip installed now, but not completely tuned. I removed the IMRC unit, but am waiting to pull the rods out of the LIM. I have finished polishing my front valve cover and will remove the rods when installing it. I will also cut the LIM a little and use some JB weld to fill the holes. I will also post dyno results as soon as they are in.
