according to HMS late model cougars can have the trigger wheel instead of the speedo gear in the mtx75 ...

so to answer my post below, should i get a trigger wheel since the speedo gear is obselete? Will that work? Fastcougar, Topik someone with vast knowledge of this please help. I see this guy has an I4 also is that maybe why?

Depends on what kind of VSS your car uses. The normal VSS is a gear-driven affair. The trigger wheel will need the appropriate VSS unit, which your ECU might not be programmed for...
I'd stick with what I have.
