Nope they are Weapon-R...and they do pretty good even with no coating!

Same thing happened to my clutch last week. The clutch had chattered and vibrated bringing it up into engagement in first since we had it fitted a year ago (thought it was my bad driving habits!) and it gave up the ghost suddenly, in a downshift same as yourself. Friction material stripped on the flywheel side, with one dead flywheel.

Investigating the cause with the clutch manufacturer, although I suspect that dodgy fitting is the cause of this one.

What caused yours?

i replaced my trans last year and wanted to post the receipt of my tranny build. i did use the same process when installed and removd the trans





Mr. terry haines is the man when it comes to mtx-75

well looks like i have a leak on the tranny, so this will be my 3rd time pulling the tranny. this time i think i might pull it from the top
