getting shift cables off

how does one pop the shift cables off the manual tranny. I think i may have to pry them off but I dont want to break them. Anyone help me with this

Are you just trying to replace the endlinks or pull the tranny. Endlinks just pop off. If trying to remove the tranny, when I remove my engine I actually unbolted the mounting plate from the tranny. Not sure if there is any other way.

removing the tranny. i cant seem to get them off. they seem like they should just pop off. I have a new tranny to put in, but like i said kinda hung up trying to get them off the tranny. I dont wanna break them lol

shoud be able to pry them off gently with a small prybar or straight screw driver, its just a rubber bushing that holds em on. i usually just pull em off with my hands. just be careful not to damage the surrounding plastic
