Short Throw Shifter... HELP!!!!!!

I can't get into 2nd, 4th, and reverse on my shifter anymore. How do I fix it? I was installing a new short throw shifter and now I can't even get into those gears on the stock one.

Is there something that I can do?

Re: Short Throw Shifter... HELP!!!!!!

Cable problem. It's the selector cable that connects to the ball on the bottom of the shifter. Could be the cable is broken, but I doubt it. It's probably just not secured. The cable needs to be locked down so it can push AND pull. It can pull now, but it's not able to push.

Re: Short Throw Shifter... HELP!!!!!!

Tear it down and look, really. The cable comes off the ball on the bottom of the shifter, and then it fastens to a little bracket on the floor, just ahead of the shift tower. Both cables are secured side-by-side, in the same spot. That cable probably just got pulled out of the bracket.
