6 speed transmission.
my tranny is coming to the end of its life (aahhh). I would like to replace it with an ST220 6 speed. I know the speed sensor is different..is it possible to revert it back to the type in my 5 speed. Are there any other issues i need to over come to get this done ?...G.

Re: 6 speed transmission.
I'm pretty sure they are different ... The transmission is slight different in size, but yes you can make it work.
I believe Terry Haines went through everything to make a conversion kit, but decided not to because of the cost of the transmission. I can only imagine what shipping would be on one. He would be the person to email for the details about using one. |

You could solve that by purchasing the hubs, rotors, calipers, etc. How much is the 6spd transmission just out of curiosity?

Re: 6 speed transmission.
Good luck getting info including prices from overseas on any ST220 parts. I've emailed so many different places in regards as to where to get ST220 manifolds, TB's and other parts but have had no luck.
