Well Shipping won't be an issue then

You could check Cheap car parts, Engines & 4x4 Parts. Find used car parts & car spares from online car breakers for parts.... thats how I found my ST220 UIM, then found someone to help ship it over since no place wanted to deal with it.

Adding a 6spd or AWD would be easier for you, still not easy obviously, but at least there isn't the huge shipping hurdles to get the parts.

600.....my god that's cheap. I paid significantly more for an 06 wrx 5spd with 13k on it. The STi 6spd was even more but it's worth every penny.

Is that 6spd any stronger than the 5?

Re: 6 speed transmission.

first of all, i don't think an ST220 box is in the same league as an STi box. Second, i don't think the 6 speed is any stronger....it just keeps you in the powerband without having to rev the thing to the limit to keep the rev's up in the next gear...G. btw..i've contacted terry haines...awaiting a reply.

Re: 6 speed transmission.

I don't correctly recall the ratios in the 220 box but I don't remember the gear spacing being much tighter than the MTX75. You most likely gain a taller overdrive and closer 4th and 5th.

FWIW, I think a better return on investment would be to clock the engine 90* or look about a Jag powertrain as even with six gears you're still stuck with FWD.

Oh i would love to fit the Jag four wheel drive setup...this is my daily driver though...i'll have to wait until i have another car.
I spoke with TH about the 6 speed..he said it fits..it requires modified mounts ( which he has) and that he can make it work !... so the search for a box and diff is on....G.
