I paid about 150 bucks to have a 5spd shipped to me freight. That was the 5spd box, all 4 axles, rear diff, clutch disc, flywheel, pressure plate, and some little misc parts.

Actually I checked on shipping to the UK using DHL, UPS & Fedex ... all 3 were more than what I paid....

If it were in the states yes, but coming from the UK, and with the horrible exchange rate of about 2:1, it was just about the best I could get... unless I wanted to wait 30 days to get the intake.

Back to the point.

If you want to know exactly what it'll take to make the 6 speed work in a cougar email Terry. He is the best person to give you the info you need.

Wisconsin to NC and it took 3 days. My wife shipped 30lbs worth of computer equipment from NC to eastern Europe and it cost her 80 bucks.

Re: 6 speed transmission.

$80 to send .... If it cost them 60GBP it would be about $120. I don't know the weight of the UIM, but from the estimates I got on my own that was AVERAGE. Like I said I checked UPS, FedEx, and DHL ... all thre were about the same as what I paid, slightly more actually.

After finally finding & getting one though I may not end up being able to use it, which would suck, but may be good for someone else on here.

A 6 speed would be nice, but expensive... AWD would amazing Screw wheelhop & weigth transfer stealing your traction lol.

Re: 6 speed transmission.

thanks for the feedback guys....i have seen 6 speed boxes for 600 bucks, with ave. 50k on them. I haven't seen ST220 manifolds anywhere..dealership only at the moment. I tried to sign up to contour.org weeks and weeks ago...no confirmation e-mail so far...so i don't have easy access to terry haines.
