Who did that?

I installed mine behind the power steering rack, and in front of the radiator. It's kinda wedged in between.

i cant remember his name, but it was over a year ago... he posted about how he installed his cooler and then somebody told him he did it wrong, but his power steering must feel like butter now, lol.

ya I was looking through some of fords documentation last night on that. I dont even remember what my radiator looks like since its been out of the car and boxed up the past 6 months... do ALL the ATX's have tranny lines that run into the radiator? the svt radiators dont have this line?

I'm just confused, because I dont ever remember those lines existing in my car.

Re: transmission cooler install

oh also note how tight you make those connectors. I found mine to be a tad undertightened and they leaked.

also keep in mind the hose slag. You want to make sure they are not hanging in a way that if you hit some road debry or something that its not going to be ripping those lines out.

True... but the stock splash gaurd piece under the bumper will protect the hoses. unless it is removed for some reason

AFAIK, yes, ALL the ATX radiators have the integrated cooler. No, the SVT radiator does not because no SVTs were ATXs.

Re: transmission cooler install

Would it be bad to place the tranny cooler in front of the radiator?

Nope. All SVTs were MTXs.
