RP Synchromax

Just figured I'd tell my success story thanks to Royal Purple. Went to NAPA today and bought 3 quarts of synchromax at $11.6x a piece. Found it cheaper online but didnt want to waste my time with shipping. Changed it out a few minutes ago and it is just amazing. Before I was having problems with 1st, 2nd, 3rd and reverse, and thought I was gonna need a overhaul within a couple months, now it goes into each gear like a brand new tranny . Best $36 i've spent on the car.

Re: RP Synchromax

Sounds like another problem. Did you even have tranny fluid in there?

Re: RP Synchromax

Yeah it was still full. But full of old nasty brown fluid. After driving it more tonight its not perfect, but wayy better than it was. Definitely needed to be changed.

Re: RP Synchromax

you should have cycled some cheaper fluid through a couple times and then put the royal purple in, cuz now the stuff you put in might have gotten contaminated from old gunk left in the tranny.

Re: RP Synchromax

Yeah I thought of that afterwards. But I can just replace the fluid again in a few months if I feel it necessary. Wish I thought of it before so I could have saved prob $10-15. But oh well, its only money lol.
