Re: my mtx tranny swap

no I have been stalled at about where you see in the posted photos. I mentioned I had a crack in my engine and at the advice of terry haines was to just not disturb it.

I'm waiting on being able to afford a replacement engine of the built 3l variety.

in the mean time I've been occupying myself with 'race prepping' the car. there are PLENTY of other photos posted up about this and the wiring, just search for the threads I created as most of them are giant photo logs.

I havent taken any in a few weeks/month... but the interior wireharnesses have been chopped down to the bare essentials. all non-essential assemblies in the car have been eliminated, and the sound deadening is completely gone along with the current project of removing all the silicoln filler from the interior [for the future intention of seam welding].

anyways I've done enough molesting of the car that I'm keeping the automatic in for the rest of the season so I can get the car back on the road and work out all the bugs I may have created tampering with everything else, before it goes back into the garage next winter for the mtx swap. I'm in no hurry, the important thing is its done right the first time.

Terry if you still want to do the trans swap, we could do it in a day at my work on a lift if you have all the parts. I swapped a clutch in my cougar at work on a saturday.
