Need help New clutch slipping

Ok we replaced the clutch and pressure plate then put it all back together = no pressure on the clucth pedal the slave was leaking lots of fluid

Then we pulled out the trans again and replaced the slave and there was pressure but the cluch slips when you give it gas and only starts to move when the clutch pedal is about 3/4 up = was told to replace the master

So we replace the master and now there's good pressure but the clutch still slips when you give it gas and the pedal has to be about 3/4 the way off the floor before it even starts moving.

what do we do now?

Did you have the flywheel resurfaced? If not, that's your problem. The clutch face and "upper step" must maintain a spec distance. Since the "upper step" doesn't wear and the face does, you must resurface the face and have the risers done as well. Looks like you will be pulling it once again.

There is a reason a clutch would run you $1200 at a shop, there is alot of work involved. Its not just drop the trans and undo a few bolts and swap out the PP and Disc. BTW did you use an alignment tool and replace the pilot bearing?

does the zetec really use a pilot bearing? The duratec doesn't so I wouldn't think that the zetec does but I am not sure.

Sounds to me that the flywheel was not properly resurface as discribed above by fast cougar
