Re: Flywheel Insert

I am pretty sure that the flywheels are made by the same company, so the Fidanza insert replacement, should fit without a problem...

I have a Fidanza flywheel in the basement as well as the SPEC I sold you... I can look to see if everything is the same when you come pick up the parts...

Just remind me.

Re: Flywheel Insert

Fidanaza flywheels = Spec flywheels

So yes the friction plate will work

Re: Flywheel Insert

Do you have to remove the flywheel to replace this insert? If so, are the nuts that hold the flywheel on, one time use?
Thanks

Re: Flywheel Insert

Yes you need to remove the flywheel... Just make sure you are using the right screwdriver because its easy to strip while tightening... New hardware is included... I use a small ratchet with a screwdriver bit much easier to torque down the screws

Re: Flywheel Insert

Just put the new plate on down in the basement, very easy. Torqued all the nuts to 5lbs. 5lbs doesnt seem like much but thats what the instructions say so i guess i'm good.

Re: Flywheel Insert

I just replaced mine and i used my air ratchet at my shop with a thin walled 3/8 socket i believe the size is...Also make sure both mating surfaces are clean. Those bolts are only torqued to 45in.lbs/5ft.lbs
