I'd still talk to the police. Even if you do get your money back, I'd still talk to them.

Even if I get my money back, im still continuing what I started with the police because no matter how you look at it he did **** all of us over and he did commit fraud

Ok, I finally got around to going home from college for the weekend, and I now have the letter (we got a followup letter after the phone call) that was sent to us from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

The Detective that we are in contact with is Steve Keller, he is a Detective Corporal in the Criminal Investigations Unit, Economic Crimes Section. The letter says "We are forwarding your report to the US Postal Inspector, in whose jurisdiction the crime was committed. Detectives from that agency should be in contact with you soon." Our case number is #08-153423.

Any others of you that got scammed, should write a letter or call Detective Keller. He will probably then forward your information to the US Postal Inspector also. Possibly the more of us that do this, the more likely they might be to pursue this matter.

That is why I posted this information again and mentioned to the poster "If it is a Jurisdictional issue, your detective will want this information!"
When i spoke to Lake county Sheriffs Department I was told that since he (Mckeever) no longer resided there it was out of their jurisdiction! - The fact that Jmclmorrow has a contact there is a good thing and I agree that the detectives need to communicate!
