Re: Location?

Re: Location?

I think this is now our randomly out of control thread like every other chapter has lol...

I can weld, but do not have the equipment... i've welded small stuff... never motor mounts but ive welded up to 3/8 thick piping together and it was fine with 10k of pressure on it... hehe...

Re: Location?

Im sure my opinnnion wont mean much...but i think i would have something like that done by a professional...Ive heard stories of people mounting the motors in at the wrong angle and snapping driveshaft bolts left and right...Not to mention the fear of the weld breaking due to not being welded by a professional...not knocking your welding Ice but im sure you wouldnt want that kinda stuff on your concience either.

Re: Location?

no offense taken, agreed... I'd gladly weld up anything anyone needed (if I had equipment) but motor mounts are an area of extreme precision...

Re: Location?

Now all we have to do is find you a cougar :p....too bad none of us have auction liscences...you should see some of the cars junkyards pick up to part out for no good reason...Anyways if you dont mind a good long drive Dallas seems to have a ton of good condition cheap 5 speed cougars...For some reaons louisiana sellers seem to think they can charge 5-6k for a 99 cougar with 100k miles when i payed 6800 ttl for my cougar almost 5 years ago...Most of the ones in dallas are 3-4k
