I had a rattling sound when turning on gravel and over bumps in the road. Had it in to a garage and they said it had a broken stabilizer link, and replaced it. So thats one down. I'll check for play in the ball joins and look at the strut mounts...

Any reputable shop would have checked everything else out up front while they had it in there for the link.

Swaybar links are easy to check, just look and see if they are aluminum and really thin. If they are replace with a set of Moog links and dont worry about it for the rest of the life of the car.
