Front suspension components?

I went for an alignment last week at a local Ford place, and the guy said he couldn't align it because the front control arm bushings are bad. My buddy that works there said they would have to replace the entire LCA, not just the bushings. If the Stangkiller LCA buy will get off the ground, that would be great, but if it doesn't, what are my options? I would definitely prefer poly bushings, as the car will be converted to a track car this fall, so I would prefer to stay away from the stock stuff. I've searched all over and can only find replaceable bushings for the rear's, nothing for the fronts.

Re: Front suspension components?

Yeah I''ve never seen replacement bushings for the fronts. You just replace the whole control arm assembly.

Re: Front suspension components?

assuming you have 2 bolt boobsy, they are cheap and easy to install. I would just deal with them until you go aftermarket/custom.

Well thats the problem. I want to go custom with the Stangkiller LCA's, but it looks like that ship may not sail (no response from Stangkiller yet to see if he's even interested in making more). If he doesn't make any LCA's, what are my other options besides OEM rubber replacements, which I would imagine would take a beating on open track events?

Re: Front suspension components?

what's $38? The bushings or the arms? I was just quoted $145/pair for arms from Tousley Ford.

Last time I spoke to him about his old car I picked up he seemed like he was going to make more LCA's AND harness bars but had a lot of things going on and making more parts wasn't at the top of his list. So I think they'll be made again but it might be a little while.
