steering ratio?
does anyone know what the steering ratio is on cougars. It is a V6 5 speed, if that makes a difference.

IIRC the contour/cougar has a 2.7:1 steering ratio, but i cant find anything to verify that.

you could always go out to the car and count the number of revolutions the steering wheel makes from lock-to-lock.

it might be 2.7 turns lock to lock, but the ratio should be more like 14:1 or 16:1.
some luxury car might even be like 22:1!

Found it for the contour (i assume its the same for the cougar)
