Re: D2 coilovers

I think I'm the only one who has a decent number of Cougar miles on them (~16k now). They're quite a bit firmer than the Roush springs on ST200 struts that I had before, but multiple people with GCs on Konis have commented the ride is pretty good. My thought is that if you have relatively smooth roads around you they'll be just fine. If the roads are pretty rough, they can be a bit jarring.

Install is a cake walk. You basically just add upper strut mounts, adjust the height and pop them in.

Re: D2 coilovers

your car will be lower than whatever you have on there now as well. getting the fronts to a good height is hard b/c you need to really crank on them to get them to go higher. i like them, but if you have caster/camber plates it can be hard to keep them set.

the only down side is that if you ever want to adjust your rear settings (with them inthe car) you need to cut away the top of the strut tower otherwise the knob sits flush with the hole and you cant turn it. its not a big deal for me, but mines a race car so looks dont really matter.

Im set to full soft on all corners and it rides good, but im used to it. everyone else says my car is a rough ride. but that may be the cage, subframe connectors, spings, low pro tire combo though.

Re: D2 coilovers

i have the ksports (basically the same thing but cheaper than the D2s) on my zetec. while the ride was a little harsher than the koni/GCs, it wasnt horrible (although the gravel driveway absolutly sucked).

If your interested in the Ksports, PM and maybe we can work something out as i may be parting out the car.
