Do you hate KYB's or what? I have had mine on for over two years w/ Eibach springs and they are still like new. Me and my friend can shake the car as hard as possible and it only makes one complete cycle after we let go. That is to say it doesn't bounce around a lot. Koni struts can be adjusted to be firmer so you can't even move the car but is that what you want? Think about how suspension is supposed to work. The springs hold the car up and the struts dampen the motion/oscillation. Sure you can crank any adjustable strut up and make the car FEEL like it's better but over bumps you are hurting the ability of the car to maintain grip with the road.

My point is the crappy KYB's are as good as you need for anything but smooth track. Koni is a supreme product, but you only need them if your car has numbers and sponsors on the side.

I can't wait to hear how I'm completely wrong on all this. Come on forums...

I don't hate KYBs. They are fine - as fine as a new set of Motorcraft struts, and probably at a better price. I just don't think they stand up too well alongside an aggressive spring.

I disagree. Motorcraft struts and anything from auto zone (or others like them) have less bump and rebound dampening. KYB is much more durable. How many Motorcraft struts hold up to B&G for over two years? I feel they are better build with better valving. I agree that aggressive springs would eat them alive. My original question comes back though. Why do you need such a stiff suspension setup (aggressive springs and very high dampening) for the street. If your roads are anything like ours then anything past B&G and KYB would cause the car to hop over the rough roads in the turns.

Maybe I'm jealous of your nice smooth roads.....
