I would be scared if it rode any different, its dam stiff and has a quick rebound and it can 3 three wheel (thanks to the roush rear bar),

one day though I will need to step up to some konis

Re: B+G Springs?

Are ST200's considered "upgraded" struts? Because thats what I have and I'm with papatedroach, if this thing handled any better I'd be absolutely astonished.

I belive i read that st200 struts have better valving in them, which would make them a strut upgrade

also due to my new findings at the aligment shop at my local ford dealer, My car is unable to be in spec for the alingment, my adjustments are as far as they go and im still slightly out of spec. This is with my B&Gs but they are suspected to be not typical cougar springs, from my recent research I belive them to be part# 26.1.050 which is a 95-97 contour and an advertised drop of 2.25" front and rear

there are a couple different sets of B&G springs for the contour. there are the sport springs for the 95-97, the sport springs for the 98-00, the autobahn springs for the 95-97, and the autobahn springs for the 98-00. 98-00 use the same struts as the cougar, and 95-97 springs will not fit on the 98-00 struts, nor will the upper mount seat on the spring correctly.

if your camber is to far out then you likely recieved the 98-00 autobahns which are the 2.25" drop. i have the 98-00 sport springs on my SVT and the camber is still within spec, i believe its advertised as a 1.6" drop

Just did a quick Google, and I've found these so far.
Parts Bin - Auto Parts and Accessories Catalog - 2000 Mercury Cougar B&G Coil Springs
Discount Car Parts Stuff - Car Accessories & Truck Accessories - Cheap Auto Parts - Car Cover - Floor Mats - Cargo Liner - 2000 Mercury Cougar B&G Coil Springs Performance/Accessory
Cougar Mercury 2000 Coil Springs B&G - AutoPartsWarehouse.com

Unfortunately I don't see them on KrazyKustomz, that would be great if he had them available. For some reason I think the old SP Motorsports used to sell them, but he went out of business a couple years back.

Re: B+G Springs?

got mine from b+g supplier in san diego for free , all they wanted was me and my car for a couple hours to do an install write up and take photos and measurements of the drop. loved those springs but got rid of them and put on gc's which are eating my struts alive.
