Re: Dead Cougar on the Road.

After a 6 week delay I finally received my insurance pay out and what is left of the car is now owned by the insurance company.

No longer will I cruise to the sweet sound of my Duratec 2.5 as it hits 3400rpm.

    I am thinking a Mercedes CLK320 as a replacement.

Re: Dead Cougar on the Road.

In Australia these Cars were released under the Ford brand and in fact there were less than one thousand of the Europeanised version imported from Ford Germany in RHD configuration. Ford released 100 of these as "TICKFORD" specials called "Eibachs" they were lowered all round with full Eibach suspension and the Visteon body kit but strangely there were no improvements to the engine or the braking other than disc brakes all round. Purchase price in 2000 was A$47000 which in todays money is U$35720 an expensive car by anybody's standard back then.

I lost count of the number of people who approached me on the street, at traffic lights in car parks asking what kind of car it was and even where they could buy one.

Anyway gone to a sad place.
