I must be a cop magnet

Just thought I would share that I keep getting pulled over for no good reason at all. It has happened roughly 10 times in the last 4 years I have been driving. Now I just got my new truck and thought that I would blend right in with a stock silverado and not get pulled over, well I was wrong.

Yesterday I was cruising along going to petsmart to get crickets for my salamander when I come to the light I need to turn right at into the parking lot, two lanes going in each direction and sure enough there is a cop sitting in the left lane at the red light, so I completely stop right next to him with my signal on, windows down, no music, seatbelt on, look both directions, no cars, so I slowly proceed.

Then I look in my mirror when I am almost in a parking spot and see the cop flying up behind me with his lights on, so before I could come to a complete stop both cops in the car already have their doors open ready to jump out like I am gonna take off running into petsmart or something. I stop, put it in park, turn the engine off, they both come up to each side windows and ask me the usual questions, "have you been drinking, any drugs or weapons in the car", blah blah. Like no sir its 3pm I just got off work and am running some errands. He asks me for all my info so I pull out the bundle of papers I have waiting in my center console for crap like this, he looks at it for a while, "this is your truck?" well that there registration has my name on it and so does that there insurance card, and check it out even my license has my name on it with a picture that looks just like me!! Thats when he opened my drivers door with absolutely no permission or reason, so I kinda glared at him and then he shut it and said I was free to go. So I rolled the windows up, got out and walked inside and he kept looking at me like I was some kind of criminal. And obviously I didnt answer his questions like a smartass, it was short yes and no answers, but c'mon, I guess I need to set up a camera inside my car for next time this happens so I can take this harassment to court.

So what's the real reason he pulled you over? He must have told you.

I dont think I look like a criminal, 20 years old, clean cut, wearing dickies work shorts around my waist, my white company shirt, and hiking shoes. Maybe it was the all black sunglasses I was wearing.

And no, he gave me no reason whatsoever as to why he pulled me over. I am thinking he saw a younger guy driving a brand new truck with temp tags still and thought I was trying to avoid him when I turned right, who knows. And the only illegal thing on my truck is the tinted front side windows which were 100% down the entire time.

Sound like you'd get profiled a lot to me. Jk

I tell other younger people to avoid new vehicles its just asking to be pulled over. A buddy of mine bought a new trailblazer and got pulled over at least twice a week for the first two months. Then he got rid of the thing and got an older blazer (& some older car) and he was only pulled over when something was up...

Not necessarily. I've been pulled over and not had the cop tell me why before. I have also had them blatantly lie to me about why I was pulled over.
    Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.
