I hate NY 1st day broken fender. 09/21 Today broken side mirror.

First day back and I go to the parking lot I park every time I come here, but this time I have the Cougar. They tell me to pull all the way in and I scrape my exhaust coming not so bad. After I get down they going to tell me my car is to low so I can't park there because they had to replace someones bumper the week before because they broke it on someone's car. They could of told me before I pulled in. I go to another one up the road and all the damn parking lots here dip then come up or something along does lines. I come in as slow as can at least I thought I did and bumper caught a little and it snapped where one of my screws connect to the bumper on the fender. I'm so pissed I was thinking of fixing them this week, but it's the z3 fenders and I don't like them to much. They came with the car I'm just going to go get regular ones tomorrow. This sucks I'm already hating being back in NY.

I hate New York, I was there all weekend and all the drivers are asshats. I witnessed three accidents in three days. The roads are ****ty and all the people are Indian. Plus they think the road is the sidewalk, they can get ****ed. Although I saw a DTG cougar and his license plate was DTG and some numbers, most likely by coincidence.

I decided since I have a week before I start school. I'm just gonna put the stock bumpers on. I got one fender today and I have to pick the other one up tomorrow. I found some places for the bumpers also. I've been p**sed since I got here I feel like if I can't drive anywhere. This is the reason I never brought my Preludes here I tough the cougar was a little higher and wouldn't be as bad.

Today I was at a stop light and as it turned green some a**hole came flying in the lane next to me and was to close and broke my mirror. Then took of into the highway I was to pissed I tough of chasing him, but I decided not to. I pulled over and the brackets inside broke. I took the broken bracket off and put the mirror back and held in place with some 1" duck tape. off to the WTB section to see if someone has a drivers side spruce green mirror. I hate this city everyone is always in a rush in these messed up roads to get know where.

I have a driver side silver frost mirror in my for sale thread. If your green plastic piece is still intact, im pretty sure you can just swap them.

Here's some advice from native New Yorker. Driving into Manhattan during certain times of the makes people into f...heads.

1.never drive into or around Manhattan during the day especially on weekdays. 7a.m - 9:30a.m, 3p.m - 7:00p.m are the times of day you do not drive in the city if your not used to driving here. Plus you'll find people are a lot friendlier in between these times.

2.Park in the outer boroughs and use the subway to get into the city, only tourist park in Manhattan.

3.If you have to park in Manhattan. The best places to do so and not get side swiped while your in class is Harlem, Spanish Harlem and the around the housing projects on the lower East side, that's where most students from N.Y.U park.

4. If a cab driver buzzes you, get his plate number and report them to the Taxi Livery Commission, they will be to happy to suspend them.

I'm from the Bronx, but I got to school in Brooklyn I tried to make my schedule around the rush hour. There's always traffic everywhere of course sometime are better than other, but driving here still sucks. This is why I never bring any of my cars home from NC. This time I did and it's the last time.
