owned by 89 plymouth sundance RS

So I was on the expressway the other day, sitting at around 70. Came up to a car, that just stood out.

just one of those moments... where the hell did that car come from, it was simply too clean. looked like it was sitting new on a dealers lot. Also its exhaust was unexplainable. dual pipes that looked like they were run down between the bumper and the bumper cover at a 45 degree angle.... while it looked stock, theres no way it was actually designed like that.

eitherway, for no reason he decided he needed to suddenly be traveling at a much higher rate of speed. I thought it would be fun to try to out run him.... well ya, turns out he has a MUCH quicker car.

    kinda surprised me.

dodge shadow came later... they revised the line in 1990... but ya, just another one of those P series cars. He had a manual in the thing. I'm not sure what engine, I know they had turbo inline 4's and comparable v6's (the twin exhaust pipes makes me wanna say it was the 6).

    here was the exact car

Doesn't matter how fast it is, no self respecting human would be caught dead in it. It probably belongs to his grandmother.

I saw a Dodge Duster. It was pretty fast for such a little car, looked like a shadow. I believe he had the 6 in that one, and i'm sure the Cougar could have beat it. This one sounds quite a bit faster tho.

    Whoa, uppity noob!

Terry, I'd bet it was a modified turbo 4-cylinder. It's a cult, of sorts, the Chrysler turbo-four people. They make some big power out of those silly-looking little cars. And vans.

They do indeed. A turbo Omni is on my list of cars to own one day.

I saw a turbo Omni GLH in a JY about 2 years ago. I really wanted to save it but there wasn't anything left of the engine. Shame it had an awesome color combo, puke green with a brown interior.

My uncle has 1987 Chrysler Conquest TSI sports coupe hatchback with a turbo 4. Pretty fun little car and its not really that ugly compared to the other cars from the 80's

I was at a show at New England Dragway with my g/f at the time. We watched some races and she wasn't too into it until the little K-car rolled up and spanked a souped up Mustang. After that she was a fan.
